"I am working with the enthusiasm of a man from Marseilles eating bouillabaisse, which shouldn't come as a surprise to you because I am busy painting huge sunflowers" - Vincent Van Gogh
What makes me think of summer, well children swimming in lakes, and picnics by the ocean, green salads and potato salads, dragonflies swooping around my head, cold ice tea, sprinklers turned on in a desperate attempt to try to save the grass, bees buzzing, crickets chirping, blue skies with wispy clouds and the sunflower stretching its massively beautiful head towards the afternoon sun.

This weekend I am joining

I hope that your weekend is full of blue skies,
soft warm winds and toes soaked in cool waters.
Until Next Time.

ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous and wouldn't the first one be awesome done with a time release camera. That would be amazing to capture it opening petal by petal. Well done again!!!
ReplyDeleteI was having trouble linking up with Summer Sundays and then I saw your comment and saw you were having the same trouble so I thought I'd pop on over and read your post.
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely magnificent. The size is just wonderful. I don't really have room for sunflowers, but I love it when I drive by someone's yard and they have them growing. It is hard to imagine the plant being able to hold that size of head up! Glad I got to see you this Summer Sunday.
oh, how beautiful! your photos are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLovely images. So bright and sunny. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Summer Sunday post! Your sunflowers are full of inspiration.

So beautiful,I like sunflowers very much!
ReplyDeleteI've had my feast on the sunflowers. Many this summer to love.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!!
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago, I started a sunflower theme in my kitchen. I have several dozen sunflower items throughout the kitchen. Well, I am a summer gal through and through and could actually live in a summer climate year round. I simply can't take even a week of winter. So, this year, in January, when I took my Christmas decorations down, instead of putting up snowmen and other winter decorations, I put all my sunflower decorations back up. Even if the calendar didnt' say summer, my kitchen sure did.
They are a lovely sign of summer, and I enjoyed seeing your photos.
Blessings,
Patti
