Giving back with a Christmas Party, just for you here on my little old blog!!!

Tis the season to give back, wouldn't you agree?

And you know, it's my turn to give something back to bloggy land. It's been awhile.  Last year, I featured 4 to 5 blogs every Monday for three months, and then in January, a wildly enthusiastic, unbelievably successful blog party happened right here on my little ole blog.  I did a crazy thing then, I just handed over the keys to my digs for 48 hours and said to my fellow bloggers to just run with it and have fun!  And they did!!!

They met new people, discovered new blogs, found new interests and new things to rev up their mojos and keep the excitement ALIVE within blogland!

I don't know about you, but my blogging interest has waned a tad and I would sure love someone (like you), too light a great big old fire under my rather large ass and get me all worked up!

So, here I go again, handing the keys over to you!!!

And you know what? The Rules are totally simple:

For the next 48 to 72 hours, I am handing over the keys to my digs! Yup, that's right! This party is for EVERYONE. And I mean everyone. From beginner bloggers to seasoned ones, from those without followers to those with thousands. Everyone is invited whether you follow my blog or not, take this opportunity to PIMP YOURSELVES OUT!!!!

Here's the house rules:
  • Leave a comment to this post with a small description of what your blog is about along with your blog address;
  • Be kind and come back periodically and check out other blogs and their addresses: and
  • Meet and greet and support each other.
And when you're said and done, make sure you do your own dirty dishes, turn off the lights and lock the doors!  What?  I'm not your mother for gawdsakes! Pick up after yourselves! :)

And just so you know, I so can't wait to come and meet you all too!

Oh, and by the way, stay out of my underwear drawer while you are here! I don't want to hear about any of you running thru my place with my delicates on your heads!

And for gawd sakes, don't be shy!  Now go... meet.... mingle.... be merry! Well not too merry. Oh what the hell, be SUPER MERRY!

  1. I think I might be first AG. But it's a great idea. My blog is about me, stories from my crazy days, my married days, my grandma days, and anything in between. They don't call me Bouncin' Barb for nothing! Hope to meet some new people.

  2. The clue to what my blog is about is in the title really. It is about me, things I'm interested in, things that happen to me.
I've never been to a blog party before :)

  3. My blog is an absolute hilarious mess of everything that comes into my brain. From how fishing is like dating, why lesbians love me, great new songs I like, and everything in between. I love new faces so check me out.

  4. My blog is mostly about my baby, but I also talk about my hatred for Zach Morris, my canckles and why I love me some Baby Jesus. Come on by!

  5. Nothing like a Blog Party to get this season off to a great start!

    Hi Everyone!

I’m the ruler of my own little galaxy called PEARSON REPORT where I happily share things like how I got my address in this comment and lots of third person ramblings!

    Okay...I’m off to mingle...

  6. Damnit you always have to spoil the fun by locking the underwear drawer! That's where I was planning on passing out! Anyway, y'all can catch my sites off my profile and I'll be hitting up youse what ain't already on my list somewhere during the proceedings.

  7. Oh yea!!!!!! Thanks for playing along guys!!!

  8. Oh and while I am at it, I am going to pimp out my really girly girly blog, for those who like purdy things! :)

  9. My blog is my living legacy to my two grandsons and grown children. I am open and honest and I write about everything. I want my kids and grandkids to read it someday and go, "WOW! She was really cool!" A granny sitting in a rocking chair and twiddling her thumbs is definitely not me. I am a looking-at-life-with-a-glass-3/4-of-the-way-full type of person and I want my offspring to realize just what an amazing gift Life is.

  10. Hi! My blog basically started as a platform to rant about the differences between the east and west coast and while I still do that, it's become more of a social commentary about various subjects. There are so many good humorous and entertaining blogs out in blog land I thought it needed my dry humorless writing style. No? Well, maybe not. Still, many come by and I hope to see you as well!

  11. Hi Everyone! I'm Haven. I write a blot called Beyond the Borderline Personality. I deal with a lot of mental health stuff. Often serious with a touch of humor thrown in.

I also just celebrated my 1 year blogging anniversary today! Stop by and and say hi! I'd love to hear from you.

  12. i was at average girl's last party and i'm pretty sure i was the one wearing the undies on my head, which clearly ruined it for this party. hard to remember the circumstances which made it seem like a good idea, but i'm pretty sure there was drinking involved.
my blog, um, well, i tell stories and talk about my boobs and other real life things. i'm mom to an aspie child, but she just give me reasons to laugh and see the funny everywhere i look.

thanks, trace! and btw, the christmas card i got from you was the first one of the season & it looks pretty hanging in my doorway. thanks, love ya!

  13. i remember your party from last year! it was THE party of all parties! my blog is a bit of a melodramatic, quirky, rollercoaster of emotions type of blog. i write about mny dating life (or lack thereof), single life after forty for women, throw in some of my poetry and short stories and occasionally, rants and raves. hopefully, some of you will drop by and say hello.

  14. Sherilin I'm pretty sure I saw you running through average girls house with her lacies on your head. I was the fairy passed out on the couch from eating too much chocolate cake! None of that for me this year.. I'm on a health kick.. oh! I see cupcakes! and a Vodka slushy machine! and....TWISTER!! WOOHOO!!

Hey all, I'm an Aussie chick living in paradise. My blog is just my little corner of the's all about my life, my passions, my art. Funny stories, sad stories. Rants about things that tick me off, and things I find interesting. Come and visit me!

  15. Whoooo hooo, I love a good Blog Party and I'm here with a big jug of Margarita and my signature Pav.
If you dont know me by know, I am Mynx and I am an Aussie. I tell stories, paint a bit and couldn't care less about Tracy's undies, I am heading straight for her handbag collection.
I also have a thing for a bit of Man Candy, esp those hot Aussie Firemen.
My blog is a no hate zone, everyone is welcome no matter what.

Hey Sprite, you playing Twister already? This is gonna be a long night I reckon.

Jewels, Barb, I'm here now, no more hogging the stripper pole

  16. I'm always a day late and a dollar short, but at least I showed up! AG, you throw the best blog parties so Im glad I didn't miss this one. Anyway, my blog is about life in a small town, my family, work and any other topic that might pop into my mind. Visit me at I look forward to having a few visitors!

  17. Hey Mynx...Stripper poles are first come first serve. You hogged it at Becca's birthday party so it's my turn...hahahaha. Good party AG!

  18. Now you girls BEHAVE yourselves! And for gawd sakes Mynx, put down my Gucci purse NOW!!!!

And stop dressing up the only two guys at the party in my underwear and bras!!!

*good lord you give grown ups the keys to your house and look what happens... grumble grumble*

  19. Greetings to all and happy holidays! I'm Galen Pearl (well, actually that's my pen name -- my kids don't want me to use my real name). Anyway, Galen Pearl is the name I always wanted to name one of my daughters, but it never fit any of them (much to their relief), so I took it for myself. I live in the US, in Oregon, but I grew up in the South, and I'll always be a Southern girl who loves BBQ and thunder storms. But now Oregon is home and I love it here and hope to never move again.

I love being part of an international blog community. I spent seven years living in other countries (Thailand, Ivory Coast, and France) and traveled a lot, so when I moved here I missed being part of an international community. I started blogging and viola!

My blog is 10 Steps to Finding Your Happy Place (and Staying There). The theme of the blog is developing habits to grow a joyful spirit. Beginning in January of this year, I focused on one step a month, in case you want to go back and see posts on a particular step. But since I ran out of steps at the end of October, I've been posting about random things as spirit moves me.

So fun to meet y'all. Wishing you the very best for the rest of 2011 and the new year.

  20. Oh ok, I will give you the Gucci purse back. I much prefer the frilly lacy one any way hehe * dancing off in the direction of CW with a suspicious hint of red satin in her pocket......

  21. Hey this party is fun; thanks for the invite! Oh how I love parties! I've enjoyed reading your blog so much that I've linked it to mine.

Mostly, I randomly write about my true life adventures and funny experiences. I've only been blogging since last May but I sure am having a whole lot of fun!

    You can find me at

Thank you and Happy Hollidays to ALL!
    - Karen

  22. Mynx, shhh! Don't get caught! And if you succeeed I have a pocket full of ones for the stripper pole...

  23. My blog is about my lil' life, out in the sticks working on the ranch trying not to fall down around cows, a vet clinic, and the paper. I also have a Postcard Campaign going, so you can stop by and check out the Postcard page. :o)

BTW, Average Girl, no fair in locking your delicates drawer, now I can't freeze your bra!! LOL ;o) Maybe I could freeze your socks.... lol

  24. Mynx!!!!!!!!!! Bring it back!!!!! and stop taking Chris down the road of non-redemption :)

Nice to see ya Karen and all you other ones!!!

and JDay for gawd sakes, I really do not want freezer burned nipples thank you so much!!!

  25. I'm The Frisky Virgin, and, yes, I'm a virgin...who is also 33. I can promise you the dating scene is just as shocking. Ever told your overly-sex-charged date you're a virgin? Good times. Or how about finding yourself on a date with a past-life werewolf? Yeah.

When taking a break from Hellmouth dating, I'm sharing stories about my parents--two of the most adorably hilarious people on the planet. My night-blind, says-it-like-it-is mom and laid back Texan dad make for some memorable moments.

You may have to endure my crazy sports-watching rituals from time to time, though.

I also tackle virgin stereotypes and slay them in manner of Buffy. So come on by if you get a chance and take a peek into the real life of a not-so-stereotypical virgin. I look forward to meeting you!

  26. there's a STRIPPER POLE??!! for SHAME! i'm leaving.
aw, who am i kidding, move over, let me show you some tricks! first rule of working the pole is always take your long sexy gloves off first. it won't be sexy if you go for a spin & land straight on your tookus in your undies in a heap.

  27. Well Im turning up to this party fashionably late as I don't check into my blog everyday LOL!! Blog party is a great idea Tracy!

My name is Mandy, and I don't consider myself a writer,..... I just blog about the things that I like to make, and all things shabby chic! In 2012 I am challenging myself to make all my own clothes, and lots of art too.....
Scary challenge putting myself out there, but here goes anyway!!
You can drop by my blog here.......

  28. Hmmm... I almost missed the party... Or did I just get here on time to help cleaning up after the festivities? :D

My name is Beliza. I started my blog just as a way of putting some order in my thoughts, to be honest. So it's a bit random and I don't post on a very regular basis.

I really enjoy reading other blogger's posts and comments. There's such a wealth of different and lovely people out there! :)

Looking forward to meeting more of you!

  29. You guys are SO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for participating!!!!!

  30. *takes a flying leap at the stripper pole...* "WEEEEeeeEEEEeeeeEEEEeeeEEEE!!!!"

  31. LOL!!!!! If I did that, I'd throw out my hip!!!!

  32. My name is Kathy. I'm a total nerd and proud of it. I love math. I've always wanted to work with animals. I like reading, video games, and tv. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have the greatest dog in the whole world. I work as a construction inspector for the State Highway. I am an EdZoocator for the Maryland Zoo at Baltimore, and will gladly talk your head off about penguins if you give me the chance. I am the Chapter Organizer for the HPA chapter: Potterwatch of Maryland. And will also talk your head off about Harry Potter. I love travelling, photography, scrapbooking, t-shirts, chocolate milk, and rainy days.

  33. My blog is a place where I can be me, unfiltered...and as I've learned this past year it's a place where I can connect to some of the most amazing people on the planet!

  34. Is it too late? Did I miss the party? It's college all over again!

Let's name is Gia, I blog about my neuroticism, wine drinking habit, and my old man Boyfriend, mostly. Also, I draw (poorly).

  35. Hahahah whoops, when I first read the post I thought it was from THIS Monday, not last. Okay, DEFINITELY too late. Now I'm like the girl who looks at pictures of parties she didn't go to on facebook. Womp womp.

  36. Never too late Gia!!!! Never too late at all!

I love hearing from ya! Thanks for stopping by!
